On the one hand, in our research we focus on fundamental processes and effect mechanisms. On the other hand, we are very interested in the explanation of concrete current media phenomena and trends. Interdisciplinary nature is our guiding principle in every single one of our projects: depending on the topic, we take media and communication studies, psychology, economics and musicology into perspectives. Furthermore, it is important for us that the findings of our research are displayed internationally.
Our self-conception is founded on the demand to explain and understand our objects of research holistically. In our research, we use quantitative and qualitative methods of media content research, reception and impact research as well as market and brand research.
For laboratory study settings, we have access to our own movie theater, recording studio and a “TV-Multidesktop-Studio” with six booths.
